Laurence E. Butterfield
Born August 13th, 1951 in Randolph, Vermont.
The youngest child of Bernard and Laura (Day) Butterfield.
Raised and schooled in Warren, Vermont and Randolph, Vermont.
Quit school at 16 years of age and lived on my own.
Joined the Army as soon as I turned 17.
Attained the rank of Sergeant at 17 years of age.
Served in Viet Nam with the 11th Armored Calvery in '69-'70.
Wounded in Action on the eve of going into Cambodia.
Married the love of my life, Barbara Manning, in 1974.
Attended Champlain College, Norwich University and Graduated from Lyndon State College.
Raised 4 children who have provided numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Currently Works for the Veterans Administration.
Started writing songs in Spring of 2007 as the result of encouragement from Kimberly Moran of the NH Rock Bottom Band.
